Williams County Fair 2009

 

The Edgerton FFA was hard at work during the 2009 William’s County Fair, held September 12 through September19.  Every member brought up either an animal project or an FFA project to display at the booth and received high ratings.  Members that did exceptionally well at the fair were the following:

·        Sierra Freeman, first place goat intermediate showmanship,

·        Elizabeth Krill, Grand Champion dairy cow, Senior dairy showmanship,  dairy showman of showman,

·        Jacob Herman, Second place senior showmanship,

·        Vanessa Hardman, second place senior western pleasure,

·        Lane Knapp, first place sheep beginner showmanship, first place pony barrels, second place pony pole bending, first place pony down and back,

·        Sara Herman, reserve champion beef feeder calf, Senior showmanship winner, Beef showman of showman winner, first place Angus breed, senior swine showmanship winner,

·        William Radabaugh, beginning beef showmanship winner, grand champion dairy steer,

·        Cassandra Fritch, reserve champion dairy steer,

·        Spencer Hastedt, best of show for his FFA welding project.  

·        Sara Herman also represented the Chapter as the 2009 William’s County Beef Queen and Fair Queen. 

On the first day of the fair, the Edgerton FFA Chapter and Advisor Kermit Riehle were in charge of working in the Williams County Dairy Associations milk shake stand.  Over 30 FFA members volunteered their time for the milk shake stand.
